Default Southwest La duck lease

I need a lease I was just screwed. Get this I payed 5000 for a lease I was told I was the only one on it. I go to brush up and another guy shows up. We talk and find out they guy leased me someone else's blind and there are 3 more blinds in the marsh. It was family land not his. I did get alittle irate but I did get my 5000 back. Now I have nowhere to hunt so if you know anyone with a lease available please have them call me 337-250-0887. Thanks

You'd prolly be better off using that money for guided hunts this yr man. Anything still open is a problem waiting to happen IMO

5000$/200$ avg hunt= 25hunts. Lets just go with 20 figuring in tips, etc... And you ain't gotsta worry bout shat! And you can hunt all over la.

Yea what Bgizzle said, You could make some good hunts with that money and spend a lot less in the end. Duck hunting adds up quick

I agree with the guided hunts my problem is the 16 and 13 year old that's almost had strokes when we got a lease because they had a place to hunt while I was offshore. I could never take guided hunts and leave my boys at home. So that's 600 a day on average. That's the. Biggest problem is them not getting to hunt. I can make do on guided hunts or public land

Sorry for your situation, I hope you find somewhere to take your boys. 30 and 3 or bust!

The 13 and 16 yo learning to hunt public land is not the worst thing in the world, no? That money could go a good ways toward a boat for access, correct?

In high school that's exactly what we did. Hunted Lacasaine and Sabine out of a 14ft flat bottom with a 9.8hp. Had great trips back then along with learning a good deal. Made us really appreciate that first duck lease we had in PI! Its good to crawl first!

X2. Hunting public with your buddy's and killing a limit makes it that much better.

Public land with a young kid is hard. But 13 and 16 is a good age to learn how to push pole.

Mud motor and a pop up blind is the way to go on public land. That's what I do and we have a blast.
