I heard the indian mounds area is still producing. The only problem is it can get packed with other fisherman. I agree with yakem,go south. The last few trips I made we caught on watermelon red senkos rigged wacky, lizards, ratltrap, and white/chartruse spinnerbaits.

I just got back from Toledo Bend, Fish the submerged grass areas with a chug or a zara spook or a fluke. fish slow with the top water baits, I wouldn't even waste my time with a buzz bait, I fished with one and the fish don't want to chase a bait . Also some of the fish I kept, looked like the eggs were just being formed. where there wasn't any grass I fished with a strike king red eye shad and that produced some nice fish. I fished Lanan area and turtle bay. also the Watermelon red senko worked we used them too fished weightless. Good Luck, I hope you have a good trip, I will be going back soon.

I talked to some fisherman that are fishing the tournament this weekend, and they said the bass are on the beds. Fish lizards, brush hogs, etc. with a small weight, SLOW! Anything watermelon: watermelon seed or watermelon red
