Default Managed to find a few in the bay.

It had been nearly a month since I had been out there and I wanted to see what it was like. I knew it was gonna suck, and it did, but I found a few fish. There's not much good water anywhere in the bay itself. The decent water I found was outside and in canals and protected marsh. It was pretty low and I think that helped me out because it probably pushed some of the fish out. I was hoping to find some redfish stacked up at a drain but didn't. Fished to about 3 and then the wind got stupid. Even the good water was fresh and brownish. Caught 3 bull reds in the pass on Caldwell that I released as well as a big old cat fish that hit a spinner bait like a tarpon. I hate to say it but I think the bay is gonna suck for a while. I didn't see another boat all day, that was pretty nice.

Very solid. You were probably high man in VB, by about eight fish.

That's because I was the only one out there.

Hey, that's not your fault. A win by default is still a win. Seriously though, just going in VB right now takes either a lot of balls or a lot of extra time. You got both? Nice job.

I got a big mouthed buddy who was bumping his gums and bet me I'd get skunked. Plus I left some waders at a camp out there that I needed to pick up. The bay is what it is but it's my home turf. I get separation anxiety if I don't hit it every so often. And oil is at $27 a barrel, so yeah I got time. As for Balls I don't know. I guess I'd say I have a lot confidence.

That confidence is well justified. As long as I'm not fishing with you.

Know you are not on VB this morn, no water.

No longer go without a partner. If I catch a wall-hanger, who am I going to brag too?
