Default Relocating widgeon grass and other vegetation

I have a pond that for whatever reason isn't as full of grass as some of my others. I'd like to move some grass from the full ponds to the thinner pond and see if I can get some growth. What do yall do to relocate widgeon grass? Any success? I tried moving the ponds to behind the weirs but I didn't have a big enough bucket and shovel. But seriously, any pointers?

With SAV like Wigeon grass you can just idle through the pond pulling a rake with short tines on it. When it gets full just flip it into your container. Your starting pretty late in the growing season for it to spread but if the turbidity and salinity arn't too bad it should do ok.

Ok, Thanks. Thats what I've done before, hope it works. I know its a little late but I just picked the ponds up a few weeks ago.

If ya got widgeon grass already in that pond just go and add fertilizer to it. We use a 20/6/6 at this time of year. Throw out some ozmicote around your blind to promote natural growth.

Couldn't this just increase the turbidity by increasing plankton?

I've never noticed increase in turbidity when we fertilize. Turbidity will kill grass if it stays for a length of time.
