Default Duck Shrimp and tasso paella

Well guys, my crew is out of town so I decided to eat some grub they would never eat.

Inspired from the latest duck cooking on here, I defrosted some ducks and decided on a paella. It is kinda like a Mexican jambalaya.

I gathered the ingredients and started to fry my wild rice to break the hulls. I wanted to add more earthy flavors so in goes the Envie!

As it cooks, I pan sear my duck breast after a quick marinade of Dale's Seasoning and fresh cracked pepper.

After the wild rice is almost cooked, time to add the Spanish rice and seasonings. Saffron is the kicker here guys!

Add the shrimp and slice the duck breast and ready to serve!

It was awesome and the office gets to enjoy some today too!

Time for mine!

Enjoy! Ragin Cajun

Looks like the real deal, the way the bottom is worked and made- if that makes any sense.

Got the pan at world market. Takes some getting use to, I'm a black iron pot type of guy.

It was very good. I even brought some over to Parish Brewery (neighbors) so they could taste. They enjoyed too!
