Curious if any of you guys that regularly wade fish have ever taken kayaks out as an alternative to deploy once you reach your spot. They are quiet, low to the water, and don’t disturb the bottom, not to mention they cover water faster and give you access to waters too deep to wade. Any opinions out there. I have two kayaks with peddle drives, but no boat... maybe somebody wants to try it out sometime?

I've never tried to kayak. The only con I see when compared to wade fishing is you still have some "hull slap" and it might be hard to hold your spot in wind.

But it would be nice not to have to stingray shuffle and disturb/muddy up the bottom.

I've wade fished once in big lake and on my second step i was doing the stingray shuffle... but i think it might of been a flounder really
