Anyone own or ever consider buying a piece of land to manage for duck?
I know guys are doing for deer.

There are a couple pieces that, one or a couple guys could likely buy.
With one blind in a rice field costing upwards of 4-5 grand, it just seems to make some sense.

Found a 32 acre hole is Sicily Island area for 96K......with rates as low as they are, I can almost buy for what a blind cost annually.

Thoughts?
Ideas?
Warm emotional speeches?

Very little on westside will ever be forsale. What I would want to know is access, history, and why is it forsale now. I would investigate diligently before dropping that kinda chedda. 32 ac is not alot of property to hunt ducks on even in the marsh but Sicily island does have some great duck and deer hunting.

RLI will have most everything forsale, just have to know how to narrow search. Many companies have gone to only listing hunting and farm properties such as MossyOak,ect.
Tax assesors office in every parish/county will also list properties that are delinquent on taxes that can be a source.

I just did some Google searching and started narrowing from there.

There are a couple of Monster places in the 750K - 1 million range!!! NICE........
but the smaller pieces get gobbled up pretty quick.
