My brother has a 25 yamaha, 2 stroke, 2 cylinder. Not sure what year but I think mid 90's. He just had the carb cleaned on it and the motor gone through. It's clean. He just wanted something new. I'll post more info after I get it from him.

Here is the info on my bros motor.

1987 25 hp Yamaha, short shaft and stainless steel PowerTech prop. Outboard is on display in the show room of Lake Area Marine along side their new motors. Lake Area Marine has recently put a carburetor kit in it and tested for proper working order. Their report indicates easy starting, shifting and water pump works properly. Motor runs like a top. I bought a new 25 from Lake Area Marine with electric start due to having open heart surgery. $1000
