Need help with building or buying an A R, i don't know where to start, I know I want a .308, i saw one with a stainless fluted bull barrel that i liked a lot, I know I want to be able to mount a scope in the future(preferably night vishion) but i also would like to have open sights, I don't know if it it would be worth it to buy it in pieces or buy it already put together, but if i buy it in pieces, what pieces to get and where from, of course I want the smoothest shooting that i can get, i shot a .223 AR and could feel the whole action moving and i didn't like it, it didn't shoot comfortably, its main usage would be hog and coyote hunting, daytime open sights but eventually night with the night vision scope:help:any and all suggestions areappreciated, oh yeah and in the lafayette area and a budget around 800-1200

You will be tough pressed to get an AR10 for your price range. There are other options though. Check out the 300 Whisper. Uses a standard AR base.

I wouldn't peice it, I'd go ahead and buy a complete rifle, if you do buy a dpms, buy a upgraded extractor set for more reliablity.

i got it, i went with the dpms 6.8spc basic m4, can't wait to go shoot it, got a basic gun so that i can do my upgrades piece by piece and eventually end up with a bad @$$ gun
