So, I'm not the most handy of carpenters, and I need to run gutters on the back of my house, anyone have info on an easy to install gutter system from Lowes or Home Depot?
Any advise appreciated guys!

Thanks, and I will check into that..we are trying to sell the house and water puddles up by the back porch when we get a hard rain. Honestly trying to go on the cheap here, just want to channel the water away from the porch. Thanks and I"ll get someone to give an estimate.

My dad that he'd be smart and cheap and put gutters up himself. He bought some kinda kit from Lowes I believe. The gutters could not be there and it would have the same effect.

Then get a load of river silt and slope your yard to drain away from the house , the grass will grow through the river silt

Another option is to get some rock and build a drainage area... French drain... but either way I would FIX the problem instead of putting a bandaid on it

i would try to fix the problem and maybe gutters would do it. i would do the seamless from a gutter company like pox said. i would look at doing dirtwork/grading if possible. keep in mind any known problems with house is supposed to be disclosed to buyer.

Thanks guys. I will take a look at all suggestions and definitely planning to do some dirt and sod work. Nothing floods the just stands in one spot and no grass grows. Thanks again for the help.

yep, them do it yourself gutters might look like the real thing but they drip and leak all the time, hold water, and just don't drain like a real gutter should. plus by the time you price it all out and add in your time and maybe one or two falls off the ladder its a lot cheaper to let a pro do it right for you and you don't lose a weekend trying to do it yourself.

if the yard is sending water towards the house or holding it there then put in trench drains or if need be rent a track how and grade the yard to drain away from the house like pox mentioned.

good luck with it
