After 77 years, 7 months and 6 days, it may finally be here — a new world record largemouth bass, the most sought after sportfish in the world. Bassmaster.com (http://bassmaster.com/) will have live video from International Game Fish Association headquarters in Dania Beach, Fla., as the decision is announced this Friday, Jan. 8, at 1:30 p.m. ET. Since Kurita's bass does not exceed the weight of Perry's fish by more than 2 ounces, it is not eligible to qualify as a new world record according to IGFA regulations. Instead, if it is approved, the catch will be considered a tie with Perry's fish. :eek: :confused:
