How often should you repack/replace bearings on boat trailers. I put about
30-50 miles every other week my trailer. Launch mostly fresh to brackish waters. Trailer is 2 years old now.

Thanks! I guess I just change them out just to be safe & install a set of bearing buddies.

Everytime I get TO the launch, I feel both hubs.....if they are even overly warm, I check em......no worse feeling than seeing your trailer tire pass you on the Interstate

AND.......check to see if there is any grease on the back side of the tire. If so, the seal is leaking.

If you don't have these problems.......good to go.......no need to repair the hubs.

I give each hub a couple pumps of grease every 300 to 500 miles or about twice a year.

AND......also check the tire pressure and treads for ware. This could be a sign of bearing starting to go bad.

Thank's that kind of takes the worry out of my mind that I had about when to do what. Every one I would talk to at work had different advice.
