Ray do you know exactly where the proposed site will be?

I think he could build 200 lifts and have no problem filling them.

Hope it works out.

I don't know. I just know he requested a permit from the parish.

I don't see a permit request for digging a canal? I wonder how will a boat get to open water?

It may be somewhere up the Kelso Bayou.

The same way Ray and Reelbender did in West Cove.:*****:

Sorry Ray.:D

That will attract more offshore boats. It is almost an hour to get from Lake Charles to Hackberry with all the speed ups and slow downs along the ship channel.

I just stumbled across this, boat stalls will be on Choupique Bayou. Go to link for more details.

If it is truly @ 27 and Choupique Bayou, it'll fail due to lack of water. On low tide, it's a narrow channel where it connects with the ICW. There's a landing on the north side of the hwy advertsing slips for the past year. It's empty.

I hope this gets turned down....

Why?

Because every stall will fill and there will be that many more people running all over the lake without a clue.

If there are new stalls built or not, there will still be boats all over the lake.
Not having a place to store or hang a boat won't stop people from fishing.
It will just make it a little harder to get into the lake to have to launch.

Something that big can only be good for the community.... it will funnel more money into the local economy, create jobs to build it, people will work there, create another outlet for local bait fishermen to sell more bait... the same number of people will fish the lake just some will store their boats there now....how can this be a bad thing? but that is typical for a large portion of Big Lake fishermen most of them think they own the lake

x2.

With Chris' comin' in plus this big marina= more traffic plus more boats runnin' through turner's. A bigger local economy isn't always a good thing. . . it's only when the local infrastructure can support it. The slips will go unfilled if it's on the Bayou. If it's on the ICW ... That's a plan that will probly work.

Slips and boat houses are full right now.
If the gettin is good, it's time to get it.
Nuttin wrong with making money when
people are willing to spend it.

Id love for this to pass. There are not enough stalls as it is and more stalls would maybee mean lower prices. I know there is over a year wait just to get in spicers and I think that this would be a good thing for the Lake and the area.

There are empty stalls at the 27 bridge and Choupique Bayou. There are also empty dry stalls at Ellender's.

There are just big stalls left at the Ship to Shore place at Ellenders.
