Ive been fishing big lake for and many other waters across this state since 1977 and never heard such a thing as to argue over catching fish on live bait, dead bait, or plastics.

I know 100's of old cajun men of long ago who fished big lake and didnt give a Rat's A** as to how the fish were caught, only thing that mattered was putting fish in the freezer and on the table.

I think FISHING GUIDES are absolutely the best thing in the world, it offers people who hardly fish the opportunity to have a good time and catch fish when they do.

It also offers seasoned fisherman a chance to learn things and become better fisherman when they hire a guide.

But *** is this bull**** about what bait you catch it on. I would soak a turd, a booger, a piece of bread, or hell, I'd use my tallywacker if I wouldnt hit bottom and strike oil in Big Lake and cause a spill.

Stop the ignorance and accept the fact catching fish by and legal means is a great day for anyone.

Avg depth of b.l. is 6ft...not 6cm

And then that old stupid saying, the only that comes out of texas is STEERS AND QUEERS.

But the funny, I haven't seen any STEER crossing the border or Big LAKE

Soaking doesn't make you a better fisherman... Ever. I have personally out fished people in my boat that were using bait with plastics many times.

meaux fishing 02-02-2016 12:24 PM

You want to know the worst part about soaking bait?

Telling your family you're gay...

SabineSlicks 02-02-2016 12:25 PM

Yup.....it just potentially levels the playing field for guys who cat catch em on plastics like a real man

mr crab 02-02-2016 12:26 PM

Hey...wet feathers....when's the last time you caught a trout?

I met Tom Adams in person a couple of weeks ago at Spicers while I was fishing with my kids.

A true gentleman and a scholar .
