Oh I'm ready. Bought 750 chances

Bdub 08-26-2013 05:49 PM

Bucoo did you order online or buy local? I was planning on picking up a case but haven't shopped prices yet

Bucoo 08-26-2013 06:34 PM

I bought at g&h during the tax free week sale. The 3" 1 3/8 #2 Kent's were $15 a box and the rios 2 3/4 were 9$. The Kent's in a little lighter loads were a dollar or two less a box than these.

Bdub 08-26-2013 06:51 PM

Thanks, was gonna give rio a shot this year if I can find a good price on em in bulk.

Bucoo 08-26-2013 06:56 PM

I shot some last year and haven't had a problem with them at all.

Bdub 08-26-2013 07:08 PM

I've heard they are a good clean shell to use but have only shot some game load. I used a few other brands and mostly black cloud for big ducks last year but my new gun shoots 3.5's so probably wont shoot black cloud this year...stuff is pretty meaty load though..I surprised myself a couple times with some shots.

Bucoo 08-26-2013 07:16 PM

I rather use kent but thats jut my personal preference for big ducks and geese because ive had the best luck with them. I got the rios for teal bc they cheap and they Farely clean from what I saw. 3 1/2 rios are only $14. Used to shoot Winchester Xperts until I started seeing trash come out my barrel when I shot them.

I'll have one of those too. Second crop won't be off for another couple weeks.

Number one thread on this site of all time.....

Are you guys starting to see some birds showing up?

Reefman 10-24-2013 04:12 PM

GC has a few greys roaming around with a scattering of pintails...some teal still left over. Should be a good to better than average opening w/ water conditions just about perfect along w/ snow and cold fronts in the Midwest pushing birds down. I'm optimistic...as always!

T-TOP 10-24-2013 04:21 PM

going to check GC tomorrow, last friday and friday before we still had a lot of teal. Not many big ducks.

Reefman, you guys youth hunting? We should have 3 or 4 blinds hunting in GC.
