I wanted to go today, but the Matagorda Bays CCA Banquet messed with my head last night.......I think someone put poison in the rib-eye's cause my head hurts..... Think I was worse off than the Indian last night......:smokin:

Over here on the "east side", we catch them in Lake Borgne and the Mississippi Sound..... mostly "sight-casting" to crab floats,etc...fun to catch and real good eating..

Any one hear of any Triple Tail in Big Lake yet this year? When they were dreging the pipe line through the middle of big lake we would catch them arond all the pilings they had up marking the pip line, fun stuff, wish they would have kept them up!

yes them pilings where fun. I havent seen any yet this year but shouldnt be long now. I did like the spelling on them crossing signs. Had to look at the first a long time before I figured it out:*****::*****:

oh yea, seen quite a few boats end up high ground many a time! They had them arrows or something, i used to actually get right in the middle of the dredged area, big trout would hold up in there when the lake got hot, it was easy pickings with them pilings!

did you put that line on your gps, it is still holding some fish about halfway down.

Yes i did and occasionaly fish it when the lake gets full of boats, nice to have that marked so you can get away sometimes...

lake if you're lucky, or the buoy chains in the gulf, or grass lines offshore usually around July and August

Frank Davis did a thing last Summer on the news about Triple Tails in Lake Ponchartrain. I've never caught one, but they are legendary table fare here in Texas.

Thanks for the offer Ryan. I'll do so one of these days. I'm just too hung up trying to deal with fixing Blockade Runners and tearing down the Ghost Camp. As long as none of Ike's friends visit this year, I'll be up for it next year.
