I've heard the black tips were good to eat but haven't tried it either. I would like to cuz the times I've been to the pass out of V Bay that's all I catch.

Yep.. you can catch all you want right now out of v. bay. Not bulls tho, i've never caught a bullshark before. That one you caught is pretty sweet, just grab that dude in the gills lmao

haha they got you man? Where did you grab him at? I want to make sure not to grab them there. I've found that around the head and stick your fingers into their gills; they don't try squirming as much. Well at least the smaller ones. Never fooled with anything over 3ft

well this one was about 2-2.5 feet. and let me tell you he was agile. I held him out at arms length by the tail and that sucker swung over and bit me on the leg. Teeth are like razor blades they so sharp. You dont even feel it. just felt a thud on my leg and looked down and was like I think he bit me. then sure enough the blood started flowing. 2 perfect rows of teeth around my shin. got a pretty cool scar story now though.

They've caught numerous bull sharks snagging in Simesport(spelling?) at the hydroelectric plants. I've heard that they have caught some way up north in the mississippi. Somewhere in Illinios i think.

We were talking about this the other day in the office. My co-worker claims he has seen sharks in Lake Verret. I don't doubt him. They have caught bull sharks in St. Louis in the MS river. Lake Verret to the coast is not that far.

They are easy to grab after you put a bullet through there head.

Sometimes you don't even feel the shark hit and you pull up just the head.

damn that would suck... I've had dolphins do that to us in grande isle. Last time i went to rockefella the sharks were eating the lady fish as we'd reel them in. We didn't really complain though; good entertainment when nothing else is cooperating

They are good to eat but be careful There is a min size on keeping sharks

That is a bull shark.See them quite a bit when wadeing.No need to worry unless one bumps you cuz when it does that its sizing up his prey.Blacktips are good eating.Best thing to do if you catch one and want to keep it is cut the tail off.

Lake verret could have em easily. Last year a guy did a thing about catching em on trot lines in the atchafalaya basin. Said he had caught 2 or3 5 footers already that year.

2 years ago my 11 year old son caught a 5' Tiger shark on 30' mono at the first rig out of Caminada. He faught it by himself for 35 minutes. We took a few pics and let it go.

I bet he never forgets that fight.
