Water hasn't been to good this year but Friday they caught a few fish. For some reason the beach fish have been smaller this year. Between strong winds and way too much grass it has been a tough summer. First few cool fronts should help but as soon as the water cools a little the fish go back in the lake.

rutherford is my winter time bull red spot. you get some 30lb+ bull reds in the dead of winter. you don't get very many, but when you catch one it will be huge. i've never seen the water clear enough there, nor have i seen anybody trout fishing. but it does have one of the deepest wade guts i've seen on a beach around here. it was chest deep once when i was there. also, i've had some big sharks pull a screamer on my reel, but i was never able to turn em around.
