oh boy time to pony up on some shells...
shot kent last year...ok shells i guess? |
I would think the more "out of round" the more damage when they hit the bird. Just gotta hit em'! With the right choke they should still perform well.

Was thinking they went down from $12 a box... F F'ity F F F! Shame on you Jordan. |
I was in Monroe the last several days for my sons Dixie Youth baseball tourney. I drove about 30 minutes North to Bastrop to Simmons Sporting goods. Man that place is nice. They had the Federal 3", 1-1/4oz steel for 99 bucks plus tax. Picked up a case of 3's and 4's.

My dad lives north of Bastrop La and if enough want shells from Simmons and will pay in advance, I can get him to pick them up or I will make a trip up and get them. Please understand, I do not want to get stuck with cases of shells that can't be returned.

Stopped at Simmon's a few times on my way to duck hunt in Arkansas. Cool place and they got some pretty good deals.
|
I always went to TP outdoors in West Monroe. They aren't really anymore expensive and it was 5 min from my house..
|
if you have the pocket book, the remington hd 2 3/4 #6 can not be beat. been guiding for 30 years and have not seen a better load. At the range you can kill them, you almost have to put salt in the load to keep the ducks from spoiling. Also kill specks out to 40 yds consistently. Almost like shooting the old 3" lead 4's
