yeah that is pretty cool its just like a marsh anchor but not as heavy and more flexable.

Fiberglass "stake out" anchor

I bought several of these fiberglass poles and made them into stakes. They are much better than stainless steel "cajun" anchors (not as loud or heavy and they have a little flex). It's basically the same material as the "stakeout stick", "wang anchor", etc........just a lot cheaper.

I've been using them for a couple of years, and I can't imagine using anything else (unless the water is deeper than 8 feet).

i don't know if these are long enough unless you are fishing the banks most the reefs are 4 to 6'. with wave height and the 2 foot you loose on the bow mount. it would be close....


i don't know maybe they are plenty long...this is the only reason i haven't bought one of these yet. kinda scared i would be wasting my money. if you buy one keep us informed
