I'll post the full report when I'm not driving

All I can say is I looked down the scope and didn't see horns or spots lol

And your right I don't have a recipe for horns so being a buck don't matter

Congrats on your first deer. That is some fine eating right there. Pith on horns. Your right you can't eat them. My first deer I had to run to it real quick. A Crawfish was dragging it into it's hole when I got to it. Matter of fact most of them were little. LOL

		Ok

So I got in the stand about 615 with overcast heavy rain and strong wind

About 635 I see a white flash in the road where the feeder was as it got a little lighter I could see her at the feeder eating. So I check to see if she had spots or horns and she didn't but I couldn't get a shot on here. About 650 a rabbit spooked her and she took 2 steps back.

I shoot.

I miss.

She jumps up and looks at me.
I chamber a round and aim again. This time the .243 does the job and I hit just behind the shoulder and she drops.

Ross will have to confirm the distance but I think she was around 75 yards or so.

Anyway it was nice to get the jitters out and I def want to kill another.

My litlle boys pellet rifle would have done the same on her. lol Just messin with you. I think the .243 is fine for still hunting. I have a buddy that killed a 10 pt 220 buck this saturday with one.

I never get the jitters before I shoot. But as soon as I pull the trigger you could swear the stand is gonna shake apart!! lol
