Venice while the fishing is great is just fishing.
grand isle has a few good resturants and bars also has access to the same off shore fishing areas as venice .
Also has the beach for surf fishing crabbing or just relaxin.
there are places in grand isle w/ kitchens if you want to do the cooking and allmost all the motels have boiling / frying facilities outside.
You can rent anything from a room w/ bath and bed to 2 br motel room w/ kitchen or a full camp to youself..
If you want to consider grand isle ,let me know and i can set you up w/ numbers and /or email for lodging ,inshore and off shore fishing in the area.

I understand completley, once again I really appreciate the feedback, it is exactly what I was hoping for. The wives are looking for good fishing also. do they have a liquor store in venice??? probably a stupid question.

I will check with my bud about Grand Isle. I have never been to either so am open either way.

Grand Isle actually looks like a little shorter drive so it might be a good fit. I will check with my bud and see what he thinks.

No liquor store in venice or grand isle bring it w/ you .
Cost is high for beer or liquor in both places
No stupid questions only stupid answers
