I have been all over this boat and see zero wood, everything is open and visible, stringers, bulk-heads (just had a stereo put in and no wood) - maybe the older YF from years past have wood - like lots of companies did.

Not against the use of wood in boats , as some of the fastest boats are balsa cored (strong and light) and will really rip.

BTW, This is Hull #4 in the YF 21 Hybrid.

I did a 'trade / swap deal' on my 2011 Shearwater, so tough to answer.
Call Kevin Barker at YF super guy - (941) 739 - 6626, or (941) 753 - 7828.

He is the YF Inshore guy and can let you know what the base boat with your desired power will run. Or call Craig Crocker in Houston at Texas Sport Fishing - the Houston YF dealer.

BTW, the ad for this boat before I bought it was: http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...ybrid-97700083

I got it with 4 hours - never titled.

Hope this helps.

LPfishnTIM 01-31-2011 09:41 PM

nice boat, especially if it goes 74mph that will get you to the hole quick!

It was a bay boat, but it had a stand up helm, not like this one.
