Salty, do you have to have a puppy? If not try the internet for jack russel rescue sites. As with anything, people buy pets and think they will just automatically raise themselves. They find out later that they actually have to make a committment and punk out. There are plenty jacks waiting for good homes and this could be a win-win for you. If you go this route be prepared for an anal exam since they do a back ground check that will rival the FBI. Good luck and I hope you find another dog that can become your best friend soon.

My daughter found a 10 week old female Jack on the 'net in the Alex/Pineville area. Solid friggin' white. Never seen one like that. Adorable but $1100?

Salty, I hope you can find a good companion. About 10 years ago my daughter came home with a solid white chihuahua that someone had thrown in a dumpster. I told her no way in hell was I going to have that dog in my house. Well, for the last 9 years and 11 months he has been my best friend....So good luck....:)

My Jack Russell was given to me because the owners could not keep up with her. She was 2 1/2 years old when I got her. I had her "fixed" and she was as calm as any dog I've ever seen...unless you wanted her not to be. As far as I know, she was not "registered" but, for the past 8 years, she was my best friend.

mine was given free to me as a puppy. My bestfriend...Retrieve all day, swim allday like a champ....even snorkels underwater....

Besides all the other breeds posted here on the "do not buy" list, make sure you stick w/ a Jack Russell and not some frickin little Yorkie like my wife bought. Talk about frickin useless!!!!!

The damn thing won't bark to go outside and crap, but it damn sure will bark to come back inside....Little frickin piece of $hit! God, I hate that dog! I wish one of my labs would eat that little thing. At least a Jack Russell will tree a frickin squirrel! My neighbor has one and it is the coolest little dog. It even jumped in my truck one day with the kids when we were leaving to go crabbing in the refuge. I said, "screw it" let him come...It was the funniest thing I ever saw. This little guy we call "Spike" surely didn't like alligators and would let them know it. He would jump in the water a swim towards them barking, then turn around and swim back to the bank when they came after him. Bad a$$ little dog, kind of like the a dago hitman, he's gonna get you, but he will let you know he's coming!:*****::*****::*****:

It is a good thing that alligator was not hungry.

Or that dog would have been gone in a few seconds.

Salty after you meet Tico you might not want another dog:grinpimp:
