Guys I work with have Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon. I know the ones with AT&T are having alot of trouble useing their phones in the break room, Sprint and Verizon seem to be doin better but I think Verizon is doin the best right now. I tried mine last night and it played 45min of swamp people on youtube none stop where my Sprint phone would never have done that but it did make and recive calls when the guys with AT&T could not

It's that metal plate in your head. It does wonders for reception.

I wouldn't judge a carrier's reception by how it does in your breakroom. Each performs different in different parts of the plant. Verizon works well in the i/e shop but not so well in the mechanics lunchroom. Of course I guess 45 minutes of swamp people at work at one time is important, lol.

I have AT&T now and thier service aint what it used to be lately . I switched from Nextel a few years ago because their service went to crap. The reason Nextel gave me for poor reception was that it was summer time and there was too may leaves on the trees blocking the signal . I asked if they had a summer phone since apparently I had bought the winter model. Then after Rita I called again and got the same excuse , so I not so politely explained we had just had a hurricane and there was no trees to have leaves . They hung up on me .... now thats good customer service.

Nextel = Sprint.
This past winter, they told me the reason for all the cutting out was the cold and wet winter we were having. Right now, I am pretty sure winter is over, but I still get the same crap.

I can have full reception, all bars, and still get the same noise like the person I am talking to is in a tin can and cutting out. It only happens when I am talking about anything very important. Not when I get calls from someone I don't want to talk to.

guy at Verizon claims its Verizon who made sprint so bad, he said sprint and centennial was bouncing off their towers and when they bought centennial they blocked sprint. This sounds kinda crazy but makes since, I know there were others switching and paying to end contract yesterday.
