I took my dad fishing over there one time and we launched down the road from the lodge. He said that he had gone to that lodge a few time many years ago. He lives in Baton Rouge.

Thats funny how we all end up crossing paths in some way . There has been a camp there for as long as I can remember . I have only been there the past seven years ,so I dont know if I would have met him or not.

gave him one of the frozen wings I saved the other day to do some "find the bird in the big pile of grass" work and he was having a field day with that. What can I say the dog likes ducks and not bumpers.

Can't wait till September!

I wish they would give us another teal since the population is up so much.

DUCKGOGETTER 07-01-2011 10:49 AM

Super spook i see you work for delta waterfowl. I know i'm not the only one here who lives and breathes ducks and duck hunting. You can ask my wife as it gets close to duck season it gets crazy around my house. She calls it the ordeal. I would like to talk to you about how i could get more involved to make sure we keep this wonderful tradition alive.

Does lake charles have a delta waterfowl group? I wouldn't mind joining this, I've heard too many mixed opinions on DU to "get involved" with them but i do like their magazines just wish they weren't every other month

DUCKGOGETTER 07-01-2011 10:59 AM

I'm not just passoinate about duck hunting i'm passionate about ducks in general and habitat for them.
