The 24 has the nice high sides you are looking for.

The prices at Legendary Marine are sky high. I would suggest you consider Chatlee Boats in North Carolina or Eds Marine superstore in VA. Yes, you would either have to have the boat shipped or go get it but the price will be worth it. Ed's quoted me 38k for the BX24. Of course, that was without all the goodies, but it did include a 250 four stroke Yami and trailer. Also look on Boat trader.com.

Lots of boats can run a 300.... But it's not worth it.
Ranger is the same.

The new Yammi 300 v6 weights less than the older model 250's.

Triton 240LTS with a 300 will run mid 50's full tank 2 people and a T-top at wot. Boat also gets up in less than one length. That motor is like driving a Ferrari. Smooth as glass, instant response and quiet as hell.

I got up to 50 with 6 people, fishing gear, ice, and 1/4 tank of gas in my triton with a 250 Suzuki... Haven't run the new prop with a light load yet...

A 2011 yamaha 250 and 300 is the exact same weight, should gain a min of 5 mph between the two. Always best to use the max HP on any boat. Quicker holeshot, better cruise speed and mpg, ect. I rode in a sea hunt 22 and it rode very good in a chop,24 will do that much better.

How do you know everything about boats? What boat do you run?
