Thanks to all of you for your insight. I sincerely appreciate everything that everyone had to say. Hell, that's why I asked this crew...I knew I could count on em!;)

However...Whoever said the old comment, can kiss it!:rotfl: Yeah, I'm gettin old but, hey, it beats the alternative!

BTW, Alphaman, ya oughta seen me trying to mask and paint your truck today! I had a friend here for a while that found it quite comical watching me try to move my arm! Hey, that's what friends do though...Right?

if you havent taken anything yet...go take an ibuprofen.. safer than tylenol for the pain and its an anti-inflammatory ...keep it from swelling.

No swelling for me. Just pain when I roll over when asleep and when I try to scratch my back or reach into my back pocket. Or tucking in my shirt.
If I reach up or behind me, it hurts like hell. And in the morning when I wake up, I have some pain.
Doctor gave me some exercises to do Wednesday, but they are not working yet.
He said it seems like an impingment from something getting pinched. I can reach forward or sideways with no issues. Just reaching up or behind me hurts.

Joint Juice. They sell it at Wally World for about 75cents each and at Sam's for about 50cents for a case. It's got GC and some other good stuff in it. Joe Montana endorses it.

I separated both shoulders from lifting and football and it's paying me back now. Started with the big GC pills and got relief along with Advil every now and then. Joint Juice is easier and it tastes great cold. So far, no complaints. Good luck.

thats pretty cheap, do you take it when ya need it, or is it a daily thing. .75 aint bad, but bad if its errrryday

catch.and.fillet 07-26-2011 08:19 AM

Everyday. I get it from Sams. Its got greentea in it also. (Antioxidants)

southern151 07-26-2011 08:24 AM

I do believe I'll be headed to my regular doc today. Hopefully, he'll at least hit me with a steroid shot. Dang thing had me up from about 3:30 to 5:30 this morning!

Gotta go under the knife now!!!
Fell in the driveway last night and ripped the rest of the cuff.
In a sling till I get back from Gulf Shores woo hoo!!!
Can't move the Fn arm at all:(:(:(

Still got some soreness to it but, it seems to be dwindling. Started taking some stuff that Alphaman suggested and it seems to be working. Only bad part is that the pills are as big as my thumb and taste terrible!

A bursa is a tiny fluid-filled sac that functions as a gliding surface to reduce friction between tissues of the body. The plural of bursa is bursae. There are 160 bursae in the body. The major bursae are located adjacent to the tendons near the large joints, such as the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees.
Bursitis is inflammation of a bursa. When injury or inflammation of a bursa around the shoulder joint occurs, shoulder bursitis is present.

Bursitis is typically identified by localized pain or swelling, tenderness, and pain with motion of the tissues in the affected area. X-rays & mri scans are two ways to test for bursitis.

Hope that helps!!
I knew my degree would pay off some day!!

my father-n-law had the same thing, and same symptoms.
