The reason i got this is because a young lady was locked out of her car with it running the other day. No one was inside and there was no immediate danger, but she ended up calling a tow truck service and they charged her $95.

So, you're saying you would have done it cheaper?:rotfl:

no.....

Jordan, he charged $95 because he pays a monthly insurance policy for when one is damaged and he is having to pay for the repairs, he has something to fall back on!

Our department stopped opening doors in 1999 since we were being sued in small claims court for windows, door repairs, paint jobs, and even the occasional head liner that the "owner" claimed was damaged by the officer trying to open the door. Pop-a-lock is like $60 local in Crowely for opening a door to a vehicle.

Jordan. I don't do it anymore either.

Jordan 07-26-2011 05:34 PM

i understand. I've already ordered it. Was only $9.95

most PD's use them too! I used a plastic wedge and a cb intenna the last time I locked my truck keys up.

What is this???? Elaborate please.

Locked my keys in a Mustang once at a wildlife park in Texas.
They gave me a slim jim, I never used one before.
Ford said you can't unlock their doors with a slim jim.
Ray unlocked dat thing on the first try.
Alarm went off for over an hour. We don't know how we stopped it,
but it finally stopped. We couldn't start the engine till the alarm stopped.

its a long rod with a slight bend in the middle & a small 90° bend on the end, a non maring plastic wedge to slide in top of door frame to open up enough to slide in inflator wedge, pump up enough to slide long rod to hit unlock button.
