House is almost complete . Here is a picture of the foyer floor. Reclaimed white oak that will have a dirty top patina ( old saw marks, nail holes ect) laid in the herringbone pattern. It turned out so good I'm gonna do my entire home like this . I'll post more once it's sanded n finished

That floor is pretty awesome. Did you have it custom made?

Yes it was milled( tounge and groove, and a relief cuts in the back ) . The rest of the home is the same wood but random width. 3",4",6" wide planks .

Pox, you don't have any trouble with putting the pot filler faucet on the left hand side above the cooktop? I thought most cooktops had the larger burners on the right hand side. Not being picky, just curious. When we built our home in 07' that was the case.

That's why I do it that way the delta victorian pot filler is 2 pieces that are hinged so when it unfolds it has a roughly a 28-32 inch reach which works our perfect. If you put it dead center sometimes it over shoot one side. This is set up for a 48" range . I'll post a video once I install the range and show you it's easier to show than explain :spineyes:

Mine folds up also, maybe ours is just located a tighter on the right hand side. It will barely go past the center. My brother put his on the left hand side over a 48" Wolf dual fuel and they have to slide the pot to fill it.

Have you ever thought about using New York subway tiles for a back splash. They are like 3"x5" and look great.

Tat is what is on that splash in tw photo , maybe you can't see it cuz I took it with my phone. In out new home we are doing both baths upstairs with the old school hexagon tiles on te floor , subway tile wainscot and ceramic chair rail . Black/ white with white marble counter tops.

How does he like te wolf dual fuel??? I'm either putting te 48" wolf w griddle or a 48" Viking with the griddle not sure yet

He loves the Wolf, he has even learned to experiment in the kitchen. I never knew he could even cook. Go figure!

I like the wolf but right now Viking is offering me a better deal on the appliance package than wolf/subzero . I really like the Viking simmer . We are putting Thermador in this one ( lot 109) because that's what the owner went with

Unless they have improved, do not put in the dual drawer dish washer. The seals seem to leak quite often.

Post em! The dual drawer dishwasher always made me nervous , we put one in lot 138 but the owners have only slept there 1 night since December so I have not had any feed back on it . I'm worried of a hose getting pinched or ripped out. We are going with the drawer microwave though in my new house

I haven't seen a drawer microwave yet.

I can say that the warming drawers are cool and the Sub Zero freezer drawers are fantastic.

The problem my brother had with the drawer dishwasher was with gaskets not a pinched hose, at least not yet. LOL

I HATE a drawer freezer!! Im putting a 36" built in all fridge and a 36" built in all freezer at the new house , we also are doing the same thing at 109 I should have appliances in the next 2 weeks I'll post em up

He has the separate frig and freezer but also has a couple of freezer drawers. With the grand kids it works out great!

Ohhhhh separate freezer drawers not connected to fridge or freezer . Yeah that would be ok for stuff u don't need all the time but I would hate having to always dig stuff out from under everything else

Yes, ice cream and stuff like that for the grand kids.

I agree, an upright freezer is the only way to go!
