W I know what u saying but I tie line to line. Don't use a swivel. The knot is very smooth and passes thru the eyes with no issue. If it catches in eyes when I let the bait free fall I retie the knot and get it smooth. |
I think we over think line as fisherman......
My grandad hauled in more pounds of fish then many of us could possibly top and he fished with Ande' 10 pound for everything from bass, the redfish and all in between. I fish the smallest diameter I can and I change often. big game is my favorite, it's consistent. It's amazing what you can boat with just 8 pound line. |

I accidentally used flouro once and my bait looked drunk!! Took a while to realize I had tied on flouro. |

mono... 10lb to get it where it needs to be. braid only through grass/thick stuff.... i.e. rippin rattle traps, jigs, swim jigs. fluoro only for finecky fish or finesse baits like shaky heads, carolina rigs.

I use 12 lb all around. Braid on Carolina, jigs, worms, traps. Mono for everything else. If you want the bait to run deeper, go with 10 lb flouro. |
