I was a math major in college until my senior year. made it through all 3 calculus courses, differential equations, various statistics courses, etc. I changed majord after not being able to handle "Linear Abstract Algebra." Any of y'all ever take that course?

SGib 06-07-2012 01:05 PM

Electrical at Lamar. Not going to double up with math mostly cause Im truly sick of math. 3-4 more classes just don't seem worth the hassle. I am going to take my FE in my last semester.

I had hurt my back a couple days before I took the FE. 8 hour test sitting in a school desk in horrible pain...........yeah I failed that one. Never re-took it.

SGib 06-07-2012 01:28 PM

As horrible as the rumors?

No. I never liked the abstract stuff. Picked up a lot of stuff on vector fields along the way and a bit of group theory in grad school, but no dedicated course in linear abstract algebra.

A computer programmer would have more fun with if statements.
