It was kinda funny seeing guys at the Texas CCA concert wearing their fishing shirts. I too just love wearing a 100% cotton shirt, but need the protection of long sleeves. May have to get me something in kaki, to go with my silly fishing hat.

Whatever you wear make sure and stay protected. Just had to get a spot of skin on my nose the size of a sharpie point frozen to kill the precancerous cells. It hadn't really healed since moving back from Hawaii. Doc said most of our sun damage has already happened by the time we hit 30. So stay protected and don't go by the "O that can't happen to me" theme. Prevention is a must for those who love the outdoors.

Wife beater undershirt-with stains on it. Lots of sun tan lotion so your arms don't get red like a crawfish and to protect them tats.

The comments are getting interesting. Ruling out fashion and focusing on functionality. A shirt that actually helps to keep u cool. Cotton don't. When it's HOT u could fish naked and you'd still be sweating ur butt off. There's some hi-tech fabrics out there that do assist with cooling, UA heat gear for example ... Maybe that's the simple answer. But that doesn't have the UV protection.

Shirt made by gilz. UV SPF 60 protection great whicking capability and mesh sides to help pull in cool air. There made in FL somewhere had for sometime love theom

Red zone apparel. Awesome graphics, sun protection, light weight.

I like the Magellan Aransas Pass long sleeve shirts. I get em from Academy for $20-30

16.99 on sale Magellan for me from Academy

Those Columbia omni freeze shirts are nice. Add an omni freeze hat and that really helps too. It has the flap to cover the ears. Everyone talks about necks/faces/hands but it seems we forget about the ears getting nailed by the sun.

columbia's are hot! I am starting to like the Under Armor version of the fishing shirt. A bit pricey but are much cooler than columbia's. JMO

Nike dri fit is the way to go
