Here is a picture of a barred owl (federally protected species) that was tangled in fishing line. I did the common sense thing and untangled it

Pic of a green sea turtle at the Calc Pt ramp year or so back

I know that where I work they tell us that if a sea turtle comes within 50' of our work area the whole job is to be shut down until it moves on.

Just saying what I know....trying to keep the dude out of a ticket .... I know the severity of sea turtle protection from the Feds

I would not keep it up if it was me

You gotta soak them big ones in milk the night before like an old coon. They tough, take a long time to get tender. I usually put em in a crock pot and press play. Let em cook all day in there.

Would not keep what up? He ain't snagging turtles on purpose, he caught a turtle on accident, pulled it up, unhooked it, took a photo and released it unharmed:rotfl:

I know the severity of federal protected species also, had you thrown a topwater bait at a loon with the intention of hooking it, you would receive a ticket, just as if you threw a net at or tried to hook a sea turtle, manatee, dolphin, pelican, seagull, etc. on purpose

Have a good one guys
