I have too. Lots of red to trim but taste just like blue cat. I used to tear them up at the first 2 rigs/structures just south of the jetties. Only did it the first year I ownned a salt water boat. Not only will they slime you line but most will also poo in your boat. And NO, they will not give you the buzz if you lick them (cordgrass and saltyhog know the person who I convinced to try this,LMAO). I have no idea how a 18 inch fish can get slime 50 inches up you line?

A buzz???? I don't wanna know. I don't go out and target these species on purpose,they just love sand eel jr's. I don't throw dem back either. I fillet and cook me sone rice !!!

I dont target them but I dont mind them. They are no spotted cat but they are every bit as good as a blue cat. Never understood why people think they are not good. Now a hard head is a different animal.
