Nah bc ive caught them too... This doesn't have teethe like a trout either... Looked more like some kind of perch

I think IKE84 is right. Google Silver Perch(Bairdiella chrysoura) its a member of the croker family.

Looks a lot like the sand seatrout, but no canine teeth and has chin pores.

Looks like a silver perch ( Bairdella Chrysura). Some folks call them yellow tails. They have a sharp gill covering which can get you if your'e not careful. Bentup

never seen one but looks to be what MG stated.

Its not a whiting, which is also called a channel mullet, which is also said to be really good to eat:rotfl:
