Will do, it isnt really hard to get involved. Bigchaf just asked around who knew a wounded warrior, found one, and invited him to come hunt.

Everyone

This is really impressive for you guys to be doing. I was involved in similar deal that involved a dove hunt. I will tell you this....As much as the veteran will enjoy his time with you all, you will enjoy it more.

I can not help in anyway physically, but if any expenses are incurred that needs to be taken care of, please let me know.

Good luck to you all and please report back after the hunt.

Thanks alot, we are looking forward to the hunt. Not sure what the guy has or needs but I have extra shotguns and shells shouldnt be a problem. Thank you though!

The wounded warrior we chose is Master Sargent Ogea. He is 52 and was injured in Afganistan when he was jumping out of a helicopter under fire and his arm got caught in the ropes. I believe he may have even taken a bullet. He had to ride all the way back to the base dangling by his arm. When they got there his arm was barely still attached. He has been in rehab for 2 years. I believe he had 24 years of service.

To give you an idea if this guy's mentality, he actually said that he has not joined the system because he doesn't feel his injury is "as severe" as others and he doesn't want to bog the system. Yet he still donates what ever money he can to the wounded warriors foundation. Amazing! He is excited and we are honored to make this hunt or hunts in December.

We should consider putting together a Salty Cajun Wounded Warrior event. Could be a hunt or fishing and fishing would probably be easier. What do you all think? I can probably get some of the injured and disabled guys up at Fort Polk and I am sure other folks know guys as well. Could be a nice promotion for Salty Cajun.

I just wanted to say this is a very nice thing you guys are doing and it's nice to see so many people trying to pitch in.

All I have to say is that, there are a lot of men and women that have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country against people who have fought against each other for thousands of years, I believe regardless of the reason, when your country calls, you go without question knowing your are going into harms way, every KIA, Wounded, or Active Serviceman is a hero in my book. There are a lot of soldiers that need our help, I am able to make only one have a great day to look forward to, I hope all in the Salty Family can find a way to make these HERO'S appreciated and like LCD and myself just give one a reason for a day to look forward to and believe me our soldier can't wait.
