Called around Lafayette today just to see and Dave's, Bullets and Bows, and pawn shops were all sold out.

southern151 12-18-2012 10:05 PM

I'll have answers by the end of the week as to what I'll be able to do.

They'll go back to the manufacturer and will be distributed to another dealer at a much higher retail price with a likely 20% re-stocking fee from the manufacturer.

By 1-13-13 these guns will likely be illegal to purchase new along with any mag over 10 rounds. They have the motion on their side right now and will run with it as long as they can. There are numerous congressmen/women who have vowed that their first order of business in the first 2013 congressional session will be taking these "war-type" weapons off the market, along with magazines capable of more than 10 rounds.

They're nowhere to be found right now. Trust me, I've been looking all over as well as a friend who has been in the business of fine firearms for years.:help:

Not true i just went to BP and they were selling everything

I don't have an ar15, but I'm glad I bought what I did when I did. $20 dollar increase per 500 rounds 7.62x39, $13 dollar increase on mags and $3 increase per 20 rounds .30-06 in a matter of hours after I purchased

I wish these congressman would put more effort into our economy...but that takes brains

Top Dawg 12-18-2012 11:24 PM

Just saw on fox news where a police officer in California made over $500,000 last year and he retired and his retirement salary is $175,000 a year with full benefits. Wonder why California is bankrupt!:help::confused:

You can believe the democraps will take advantage of the gun sales over past two months and show they are making economy better..... its very sicking and sad what happened in Connecticut but this will create a spike in economy to make them look good but also give them a good reason to cause panic for gun owners and buyers

Montauk17 12-19-2012 06:42 PM

Just saw on FB railside in broussard will have 10 ar's for grabs on christmas eve.

Big Kahunaz 12-19-2012 08:37 PM

Picked up a stag ar 15 today with optics
Trying to get an ak bc u can't break the damn things so I figured it'd be good for the long run

bmac 12-19-2012 09:04 PM

Friend at work went to Academy yesterday. He said that they have taken the rifles off of display but they will show them to you if you ask for a specific weapon, eg "Colt AR-15". He said they will not show anything if you just say "AR". That sounded really fishy to me but thats what the guy said...
