A non typical can be a trophy to someone. Personal preference. Farm deer IMO but still some find them cool. Cool enough to drop some serious money on.

Can't eat the antlers, and 15k is some expensive sausage. PS, that rack nontypical will not score 250

Not nocking it at all, but unless that deer was wounded before this season to have made his growth the way it is, it should have been culled yrs ago unless the ranch is not worried about bad genes being spread!
Would I have shot him? Hell yes! Mounted him? More than likely!
Spent 15k on him? Not a chance in hell!

That's how it goes man! I sat in my climber for 3 days straight a few weeks ago saw nothing but does and small bucks. Perfect weather too. 3 days later, my dad brings his buddy and puts him in a box about 300 yards from my climber and he shot a good buck just before it walked out the field heading straight for the bottom where my climber was.

I love how peeps spend a butt load of money going to those deer ranch / Zoo.....
The guide they are with ask them (while the deer is eating corn due to the feeder) which one should I untie for you to shoot....the one for 12K to the left or the one for 11K to the right.....Sadly they actually think they really hunted and killed something....reminds of me of peeps going on one of those pen raised mallard hunts....oh look we killed 44 greenheads....LOL

Most pay trophy hunts in TX are actually like that. A "biologist" sits in the stand with you and scores them and tells you what it would cost you before you shoot em. Like hunting in a pen. Some aren't though. I would never pay for a whitetail that wasn't fair chase/low fence.
