North la.....little town north of jonesboro,la. Just made home saw 4 yearlings,2 does,and a spike. Shot at one of the does but it was over 300 yards using a 45-70,aimed over her back and still shot under. First year in the years hunting this lease that I did not kill a single deer. Oh well that's how it goes I guess. Time to break out the bow and hunt sherburne and indian bayou till feb 15th,think I will make a hunt in the morning.

Gotta get some venison in the freezer! Got spoiled to killing 2-3 every year having fresh ground meat and sausage to last all year. Kept waking up tonight,going get a early start with bow in hand.
