That helps a lot. I try very hard to avoid trees with vines, but somehow still end up with it. Just trying to figure out what/how to avold it.

I get it bad bad, never have been able to prevent it.
When I get it and I have to itch, the best solution I have found is taking a blow dryer to the spot. It feels like it would if you could just scratch as hard as you can, that kinda "euphoric" scratch that you can feel down to the bone - but you don't have to touch it... And, once you get your fix, the nerve endings are disrupted from the heat and it gives good relief for a while. I almost wish I had poison ivy now just so I could take a blow dryer to it!!! |
