Dont misunderstand, I think Haynie's are bad azz, but I would assume most people would prefer a lined boat with ample seating. Makes "cents" to me. Not going to mention the freeboard:p |

I have a Blazer Bay and like it. My next boat would be the Sea Hunt 24 Bx |

 What is a freeboard? |

My Kenner is a great boat, but they arent made by the original builder anymore. He now makes Frontier and Blackjack. Very sturdy quality boats. I reccomend the black jack |

So is ranger and skeeter synonymous with ****ty boat? Haven't gotten any feed back |
|
I have heard both are wet boats. However I DO NOT have first hand experience with either brand. |

I had a nautic star 2110 and it was a great boat for the kids with the jump seats and high sides. I had a 200 hpdi and it ran great |

Dont get a SCB its sinks |

I have a owned a Haynie, bluewave, skeeter, seapro, xpress and a few others. I just bought my second bluewave from lake area and I love it. I have ridden in just about all of them, I also like the blackjack and although it is a little slower the trition is a great boat. Haynie is a great fishing machine but to me not a good fit for my young children. Budget for 60k if you want a 24 foot boat loaded and a little more if you are looking in the direction of a shearwater. Most manufactures these days make nice boats, (there are only three ormfour i would avoid) my advice would be to get the longest boat you can afford. Fishing the beach or short rigs I have never wanted my boat to be a little smaller. |

If you haven't done so, try and hook up with a few members on here. Members have a variety of hulls. Go take a ride with each and get first hand experience with each hull. |

Ranger and skeeter are WAY too expensive.......check out the Cape Bay |
