Got off early today and was able to fish Henderson for a couple of hours, water looks great near the I-10 launch. I was fishing with a black and chartreuse jig looking for sacalait but was just catching bull bream, caught about 10-15 breamAttachment 47811

Nothing wrong with that...fried up crispy tails and fins, good stuff!

Montauk. No the cut to get to i-10 is blocked off. If u are running a alum. Boat u can pass just go slow u can see where we been passing with surface drives.

Any more updates from Henderson? I'm planning to bring the kids out tomorrow afternoon and would like to get on a few fish if possible.

Thanks.

I'll be in Indian Lake tomorrow morning if it's not raining.

Naw, I ran north to fordoche to see what it was like, never been there with high water. Chunked black/blue jig tipped with green pumpkin speed craw, threw the craw texas rigged in green pumpkin and june bug, and threw crank bait. Nothing. Talked to a guy that was there from 2 til 6 and he didn't have any luck either, said he tried blue/white tube for sacalait too.

I know where to wear out the goggle eye, but have no clue on bass there - any hints are welcome as far as where to go to increase my odds.

Thanks for the report on the I-10 cut. Also the boulevard is wide open and clear. It ought to be a great weekend for fishing.

We been passing through the I-10 cut every night to go frogging in prodrive. And goooh get with me. The bass are biting. Just have to hit correct places. Flats. North and south next to cypress trees and a few other places

We had a decent trip (for our standards) last Friday. Caught pretty much all of our fish in the same spot. Wrote a report about it on the sportsman.

Beautiful day yesterday and should be a good one today. Saw some nice fish this week but they had to fish a little harder to get them. Good luck wherever you fish today.

Jake, are there any good area close to the launch to fish? Thinking of heading there this morning with the kayak. Never launched out of your place.
