A month ago out of grand isle we saw a very similar thing about 40 miles out. The guide that we were with said he thought it was a sun fish but I don't know. I can tell you that it was huge and it did breach, it was crazy.

A couple different species of whales in the Gulf, sperm whales are not uncommon. Saw some out of Venice before. There are killer whales also


We do NOT have porpoises though, we have bottlenosed dolphins

seen a huge ocean sunfish one day offshore. it was a weird looking sucker fo shure!!!

Probably a Whale shark. I've seen them come out of the water (Not jump) but make a big splash.
