Face paint has it's merits.....

I've been doing this for as long as some of you been breathing.
Not saying that to be cocky (or age myself) but we have been using some sort of face cover the thirty years.....mainly because my first hunting partner stuck out like a white bean in a bowl of redbeans, he is white as a ghost.

I see no dofference between face paint and face screens/cover.......it is easier to call from in fact.....and it's just less PIB

Unless it is bitterly cold, I am using a couple lines of burnt cork

Using face paint is a personnal choice. Just as making the choice not to use it.

If I was a guide, it would be a requirement. I don't care how many times you tell sports not to look, they're going to look. I have hunted with friends that weren't novice hunters, but they were novice duck hunters. I would be working birds and could tell you exactly when they looked at the birds by the way the birds acted. Sure enough, you turn around and they're peeking over the grass. Particularly bad when goose hunting. When the geese start getting close and loud, they're gonna look!

This older gentleman was taken a wine bottle cork and burning the end. he would use the cork like a marker. when he was done he put it in an old flim container. he said it last for ever. any one ever tryed this. does it work couldnt up load pictures to see how it looked.

I ask them before the hunt if they want shoot geese or watch em. Plain and simple the only thing you should be able to see is your toes.

Well said.... Personal preference is face mask but anything to hide a white flag is fine by me. It's hard to tell someone not to look up when they don't see that everyday... They are dumbfounded... I know I wanted to see everything...

If you were the guide, you would be getting paid. First rule: The customer is always right. If the customer is wrong, refer to the first rule...Face paint, face cover, white faces, brown faces, black faces are the issue almost never. Birds flare from movement (your dog), pour cover on your blind and/or boat, suck decoys (your the bad shots), and many other reasons.

If you blame your hunting buddies face, try this...put down your call and see what happens...maybe its you...

My favorite thing I always hear people say (my brother especially) is... If I'm fully camouflaged and I don't move at all they can't see me. 9 times out of 10 you still have a silhouette and second problem is on a sunny day your gonna cast a shadow. Get off your butt and pile the brush on that blind.Attachment 59492

If you're a guide and tell your sports to put on face paint you may need to reconsider calling yourself a guide.
It's your blind. Yours. Grass it how it is supposed to be. Just takes a little work.
I'll admit my blind is a ***** show this year and is not up to par. But I'm also not even hunting it. I'd rather be balls deep in the grass.
