Yeah you can get the taxidermy work done over here in africa or the skulls/capes sent back to USA once they have been salted/dipped ect. I'm having all my animal done over here at a place that is top notch. Lots of the taxidermists over here but this place is a huge outfit tat ate a more artistic approach.

Let me know if you want some contact info , next year the PH is coming to America and staying with us . We will have a party where he can show you what kind of hunting they do and costs/ ect. It's not that bad if you pick a few and stick to it. The problem is its hard to stick to the list , so every animal you shoot you can figure another 1000-3000 for taxidermy/shipping as well.

I've killed everything with a 270wsm 130 gr solid copper bullet . If you look at that kudu there is a small hole behind its shoulder that where the bullet was almost through and through on the backside, I cut it out n recovered it. I shot clean through the bontebok @ 350-370 yards . The only thing I won't use it for is a Cape buffalo if I decide to kill one . My wife was shooting a .243 n took that animal @ 100-120 yards

fishinpox 01-21-2014 05:21 PM

Still need to kill a Gemsbok and a Zebra . Might try for a white springbok and a black springbok since I've killed a Common Springbok that way ill have all 3 .

jchief 01-21-2014 06:37 PM

It helps with recoil as well but mainly not to spook anything else that may be near by

swamp snorkler 01-22-2014 07:37 AM
