Also see a lot of posts bashing dodge. Although I don't care for there gas trucks, I own an 08 cummins and get 17 to 18 mpg towin a 20 ft bass rig. Some of the numbers others are getting with other brands sucks!

Ah ok. I'm not a fan of either.

Dodge 2500 5.7l. Driven round trip Cottonport, La to Marshall, Tx. with just 2 ice chests in the bed = 12.3 mpg. Same truck pulling a UNLOADED 14 ft enclosed trailer round trip to Lafayette = 8.7 mpg

My company truck is a laramie 1500 4x4, and wasn't a fan of dodge at all. Still not sure, but I am impressed with the truck. Definitely impressed with the mileage and how it toes my boat compared to Eco boosts |
This is probably irrelevant to this conversation, but I drove a '13 Dodge 5.7 hemi 2wd without a towing package for 2 weeks while mine was in the body shop. I averaged 21-22 mpg with the cruise set on 84 on I-49. That truck had more power than any other gas truck I've driven. Just wish it had a towing package so I could have seen what it did with the boat.

What year? That's a lot heavier truck than the 1500,. My '13 will get 22mpg at 74, it's a crew 1500 4x4. Towing my 24' bay boat is 10-12mpg if the wind is blowing at my back and I'm slightly down hill! |
I have 2011 durango with the hemi and i get 14mpg pulling my 2104 cruising 65. Now if I go 70. That's another story 9-10mpg. You won't get good Gas mileage pulling at 70 anyway
I get 23 on the highway going 70-73 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk |

Yow! |
My 4x4 Eco (4 door) gets overall mpg is 16.3. Towing my 22' bay boat at 65-70 I get 12-13.
I know a guy with a 2 wheel drive Eco (4 door) and he gets just over 20. He does not have a boat so he does not tow enough to get a estimated mpg. |
Personally if a truck gets 15-17 on Highway, 13-15 in town and 10-12 towing I am more then satisfied because it is a truck after all..... of course this would be any full size, 4 door, 4x4 set up to tow with a low gear ratio.
