Flounder are beginning to make the move offshore to spawn and are very vulnerable at this time to overcatching as they tend to congregate in large schools. We should start showing restraint in catching too many and only keeping as many as we can eat to show we are true sportsmen that care about the resource. I believe Texas has rules in place at this time of year to protect their flounder resource and it may be a good idea to visit their rules and regs.

In Texas, November creel limit is only 2 @ 15 inches or over. Other parts of year 5 is daily limit w/ same size restrictions. Also NO gigging during November. Rod and reel only. |
