FYI I was looking at both really hard before I went with the Edge. They both start out the same base price. It all depends on what options you get. You can choose to have about 75% of the front deck storage if you wanted. what drives the price up so much on the edge boat/trailer package is the EZ trac aluminum trailer that they usually come with (its a very nice trailer). You save about $800 bucks going with the EZ loader galvanized from Lake Area.

I got a price of 7400 plust Tax for an Ambush w alum. trailer. Thats an insane price. This is for a 1652 Ambush.... I know the 1656 EDGE is about 1k cheaper... I thought forsure Ambush would have been a little cheaper. Looks like EDGE will be my choice.

I think the world of Kent Foreman, he has a great head on his shoulders. He has helped me many times, a good friend. As for Mercury 2 strokes, he is the king.

Compare apples to apples. It makes no sense to compare a boat that is 100 gauge to a 90 gauge boat, compare a painted steel trailer to an aluminum trailer, then talk about price differences. Look at both boats and check the quality of the welds, compare apples to apples. I don't care what you buy, I make absolutely ZERO money either way, but don't compare two totally different products and tout the price difference.
