It's not blown up to a stupid level if you are the one who was affected.

I agree with waltrip but there's nothing wrong with being extra careful
I do get a bit annoyed when people who don't fish or have nothing to do with saltwater tell me not to go to holly beach or don't go fishing because of the bacteria just cause they heard something on the news

Or even when newbies say they're not going because of the media.. exactly.
